The gym was alive with music, enthusiasm and lots of dancing on the last day of Term 2! Kofi and his friends visited to perform an incredibly energetic, vibrant concert to give students an idea of what they could expect to learn in their Term 3 workshops. Even the teachers were up and dancing! |

We have had such an exciting start to Term 3 in Performing Arts. Kofi has begun classes with Grade 3 – 6 students. In the first week, students have learnt a little bit about West African culture, played the djembes and tried carrying baskets on their heads like children in Ghana.

Another exciting program began this term. The music department at Mooroolbark College have generously provided their time, expertise and instruments to provide trumpet and trombone music lessons for a group of 5/6 students. Students have demonstrated a willingness to try something new and persistence in picking up a tricky instrument for the first time. We can’t wait to hear them play.
