Winter Sport Semi-Finals
This weekend we have Semi-Finals for a number of our teams and normal round games for rugby.
All students are reminded that they are to wear ONLY BMGS gear for both home and away games. This includes when travelling on the bus.
Snow Championships
The Blue Mountains Grammar Snow team has qualified for the NSW/ACT/QLD/SA State Snow Australia Inter-Schools Championships. This is the first time that a BMGS team has qualified for the State finals, in any of the 'team' categories. The event will be held from 22nd to 26th August at Perisher.
BMGS has qualified for the Girls' Division 1 Skier-X, with both Gretel and Eva Passlow in the team. Gretel skied up in a higher division so she could compete with her sister as a team for BMGS. Gretel also qualified as an individual racer, in this higher division, which is very impressive!
Both Eva and Gretel have also qualified for the State finals as individuals, in the Alpine giant slalom event.
Otto Passlow will be competing in the State Slopestyle Ski event. So overall, BMGS is competing in four events in the State Championships.
This is a great achievement for Eva, Gretel and Otto and we wish them all the very best at the Inter-School Championships.
Cross Country
Casper Larkin (Year 11) competed at the NSW Short Course cross country championships last weekend at Mount Panorama. He was placed 3rd in the U18 Division which is an outstanding achievement.
