100 Days of Schools

Our Year Prep children were so excited to celebrate their 100 days of School on Monday. Children came to school dressed in the theme of 100. We had many centenarians, some 100 dollar notes and some hundreds 'n' thousands and many more creative ideas presented. Let's hope our children remain as excited about their next 100 (and many more) days of school.

COVIDSafe Operations

Masks

Thank you to all families for your collective support in supplying maks for your children (8 years and over) to wear while indoors at school.

The wearing of masks is a simple yet effective way we can keep our community safe, especially during the winter months.

A reminder that we ask all adults to also wear a face mask when entering buildings in the school.

Household Contacts

Where a student is a household contact of a positive case (that is, they have spent more than four hours with someone who has COVID-19 inside a house, accommodation, or care facility) they must inform the school. Household and household-like contacts are no longer required to quarantine as long as they take additional safety measures in the 7 days that would have been their quarantine period.

If household contacts do not undertake the safety measures they are required to isolate and test on Day one and Day 6 of isolation.

Household contacts are required to inform the school that they are attending during the 7-day period.

Parents/carers are able to leave isolation if other arrangements cannot be made to transport their non-infectious child via private vehicle to and/or from school. The person leaving self-isolation must travel directly to and from the location, making no stops, unless there is an emergency or as required by law. They must remain in the vehicle at all times, unless it is reasonably necessary to leave the vehicle to deliver the person to and from school, and must wear a face covering whilst outside the place of self-isolation.

COVID-19 case reporting requirements

Case reporting obligations for Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS)  remain the same in Term 3, as per requirements of the current pandemic orders. Parents are asked to contact the school should their child test positive to COVID-19.

Student Attendance

All students are expected to attend onsite. Parent preference is not an approved reason for students to be absent due to COVID-19.

Please note that Google Classrooms are active for students who are required to isolate or quarantine. Children have access through their Google Classroom to a range of learning materials to support their continued learning.

Positive Behaviour: Parent Code of Conduct

Thank you to all those families who have read and accepted the Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic School Parent Code of Conduct as communicated last week.

For those unsure, you would have received an Operoo Notification containing the relevant information and an 'acceptance' request. As we are still waiting for a number of parents to respond we will hold off on distributing the corresponding Student Code of Conduct.

We ask that the Operoo request be actioned in a timely manner.

St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal

Please go to the Religious Education and Social Justice page of this newsletter to read a very important message from our Social Justice Leaders regarding the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal.

Auskick Clinics

Thank you to Mr Palanca who has organised a series of AFL Auskick clinics for our children over the past few weeks. There may be some future stars in our midst.

God bless
