NCCD Information Sheet for Parents, Carers and Guardians
The information sheet below, provided in a few few different languages will help you understand the collection of Data for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
Positional Language
We have been exploring positional language in the Maths Room.
Preps used directions to get their animals out of the Mazes.
They then created their own Mazes that were very tricky.
This would be a great activity to explore at home.

QOP Recipient of the Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant
Queen of Peace have been fortunate to receive funding through the local Landcare Grant. The school featuring Peter Carlisle was published in the Star Weekly this month. The article is attached here for you all to read.
In Australia, over 5 million tonnes of food ends up in landfill. That's enough to fill 9,000 Olympic sized swimming pools according to the subpod community.
The School has obtained two subpods through grants. One has been installed near the year 5 rooms and the other will be installed in the Vegetable garden beds adjacent to the bike area.
Each subpod will be able to process 1kg of food waste per day to start. The worm population will double every few months. By December each Subpod will be able to compost approximately 15kg of organic waste a week! The system will also support the growing of vegetables around the garden beds year round. This type of compost system will replace the current food based composting system we currently use at QOP. We will continue to use the old system for tree and vegetable prunings.
