NAPLAN Online Readiness Trial

Next Tuesday, 27th November, Year 3, 4 and 6 students will be participating in the NAPLAN Online School Readiness Test (SRT). This trial is to prepare for our transition to NAPLAN Online in 2019.

SRT is not another NAPLAN. It is not an assessment of the literacy and numeracy skills of students. SRT is a check of our school’s IT capacity, logistics and administration processes. It is an opportunity to confirm that our school can conduct test sessions under test conditions and national test protocols, troubleshoot any technical issues and manage the availability of our local IT when running online test sessions.

Privacy Identifiable student data needs to be uploaded into the platform for schools to be able to run SRT. For this reason, families of students in the primary years were emailed earlier this term a copy of the privacy notice. This can also be accessed via the link below.

The national online assessment platform has been designed to comply with relevant national data security policies, guidelines and standards. Further information about NAPLAN Online is available on the National Assessment Program (NAP) website http://www.nap.edu.au/ The NAP website also features a public demonstration site for teachers, students and parents to become familiar with the look and feel of the online platform.
