Parents’ and Friends’ Parent Forum and General Meeting - Wednesday 10 August 2022

You are warmly invited to join us at the Parents’ and Friends’ Parent Forum and General Meeting next week to be held in the College's Robson Auditorium, commencing at 7:00 PM.  The topic of discussion for the forum is one not to be missed:

 

The Young Men We Raise in an Edmund Rice Context

 

Ms Gillian Daley and Mr Rob Simpson will lead the discussion on:

  1. Launch of the Ideal Graduate – what is means for you. The newly released the Ideal Graduate document will be launched and unpacked, showing what we hope our boys and young men aspire to now and beyond college life.
  2. The importance of Service Learning in our contemporary world and first-hand experience, including immersion and a special guest.  Students who were involved in this year’s immersion to Alice Springs will join us also and report back on their experience.
  3. Ways in which parents/carers can get involved in service work and Parent SOL. We will also have an introduction to the parents/carers who form part of the newly established Parent Justice Group.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved at the Supporters’ Day barbeque last Saturday.  We had an overwhelming response with special mention to Evy Hagios, Kylie Buckley, Kathy Jeitani, Alison Auland and Danielle Johnston. Events like this are not possible without the support from the wider community.  We are blessed to be part of such a wonderful and supportive parent community.

‘Back to Breen’ Supporters’ Day Barbeque  Saturday 13 August 

Our next Supporters’ Day will be held on Saturday 13 August.  It would be great if we could have the support of families from every year group, especially Year 12, at the barbeques. Many hands make light work. Any time you can spare will be appreciated. If you would like to volunteer, please use the following link.
