School Council

Your school council met online once again on Monday night and it was wonderful as always to catch up and hear what the sub-committees have been up to in the last few weeks…there is lots going on at our amazing school.

Our last meeting was a smaller group as we had a few people away including some at school camp. So this time we got to hear about what a great time everyone had and how incredible it was for the students to be able to experience camp again after three years.

On a more formal note, Kylie has put together a presentation on the updated Child Safety Standards for school council members to watch. This is important information to be aware of and school council will discuss the presentation at our next meeting.

We also heard that things are starting to happen around the school to get ready for the start of the capital building works. In particular there is lots of ‘moving’ to be done…it sounds like we have an exciting few months coming up as we see how the building works take shape.

And to add some fun and community spirit we have a number of events coming up…

The Community Building sub-committee have just released tickets to their Mega Raffle with incredible prizes on offer. Check out the posters around the school and on School Stream and remember that tickets are limited so get in quick to secure yours!

The Buildings and Grounds sub-committee have a Working Bee on Sunday the 28th August. If you have any time to give that morning please come along…there is lots to do!

And of course there is the event our students have all been talking about, the PFA Pop & Rock Disco is on this Friday. If you don’t already have them, tickets are available on QKR - this is not to be missed!

Until next time, stay safe and warm everyone.
