A big thank you to the many parents who have driven out to Sydney Olympic Park over the past couple of weeks. Our senior girls relay team were 3rd to finish at the MacKillop Trial and will now represent as members of the MacKillop Team at the NSWCCC Swimming Championships on Thursday 6th April. What a way to finish off the term girls!

Representative Jersey

Could I please ask all students to return the schools representative jersey to the office. We have a number of upcoming interschool events and gala days. I would like to do a stocktake to assist with ordering more jerseys. Our current ones will need to be re-distributed to anyone who will need one in term 2. Please check your wardrobes at home as you may have one from a past gala day or other sporting event in 2022. I appreciate your cooperation with this.

Cross Country Trial

It was a great way to start the week with our Cross Country Trial held at Waratah Bike Track. The weather conditions weren’t ideal as we received patches of light rain however with the good spirit delivered by our students and the encouraging cheers from all families, we created a fun and successful trial. We were blessed to receive some blue skies and also grateful to have received a cooling down by the rain. It was wonderful to see great sportsmanship by all our participants. Superb effort. Thank you to our parent volunteers and wonderful teachers who take their time to make this day a special one.

Students who received a 1st to 4th placing will receive a note on the first day back to school for Term 2. This note contains the details for the Primary School Cross Country Championship on Wednesday 24th May held at Sydney Motorsports Park.

Netball Interschool Gala Day

On Tuesday 4th April, 36 students from Year 5 and 6 represented St Patrick's at the Netball Interschool Gala Day. Students competed against other Sydney Catholic Schools in 18 minute games. We are extremely proud of the effort from every student that attended the Gala Day and can confidently say that they represented our school extremely well, both on and off the court. In a very competitive pool, each of our teams stepped onto the court with positive attitudes, a willingness to try and incredible sportsmanship, with a couple of wins along the way. We would like to extend our thanks to all of the parents who assisted on the day. Your help with managing teams, game scoring and supervision is greatly appreciated. Congratulations to all of the students who attended, we hope you had an enjoyable day of netball and continue to participate in these events in the future.

Community Sport

We have a few of our stage 1 students who play Tball in the same team for St Patrick’s Baseball Club. The following 4 students are excited to announce they won the competition and became the Cronulla Sutherland Junior Baseball Association Tball Major Division 2 Premiers for 2022-2023. Great job Team.
