AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH

 

April is Autism Awareness Month. Spreading understanding is crucial for advocating for neurodivergent students. Autism is a condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, interacts with others, and experiences their environment. It is estimated that one in 70 people are on the autism spectrum. 

Sue Larkey is an educator who has worked extensively with students on the autism spectrum and assists teachers and families to come to a greater understanding of how to cater for neuro diverse students to engage them in learning and make school a positive experience.
