SYDNEY CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WYD 2023 RAFFLE:

In July, some five hundred students and teachers from Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) will travel to World Youth Day (WYD) in Portugal.  Some will travel through the Holy Land, others Italy, and another group will travel directly to the host nation.

SCS has organised an online raffle to support all of our students. Raffle tickets can be purchased for as little as $5.00per ticket. Monies raised through the raffle will be utilised to reduce the cost of the trip for students who are unable to get the necessary financial support from their families.  It is this group that we wish to help, as well as have the capacity to meet any unanticipated costs that arise prior to departure.

To purchase tickets just scan the QR code in the image below or click on rafflelink.com.au/scswyd2023 and use the unique seller code below:

The raffle will be drawn on Friday 5 May, and include the following prizes:

First Prize: 2022 Mazda 2 car (valued at $25,000),

Second Prize: $3,000 gift card, and

Third Prize: $2,000 gift card.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

STUDENTS ISSUES:

Please be reminded that if you have any issues regarding students you go through the office or your class teacher. Adults must never approach students regarding peer issues.

Parents may also see some students who are not behaving appropriately at times. Please do not assume that misbehaviour is not followed up, because it was not done in a public forum. Each student has a specific set of circumstances and some students require support to assist them to manage emotions.

MORNING ON PLAYGROUND:

Most of the time people are being respectful of staying outside the gates until 8:20. This week a few adults and students have been on the playground before the 8:20 start time. I appreciate that it has been unpredictable weather, and if this is the case can the students come down the hill and wait in the office area until they are supervised. Unfortunately, this week,  we had some incidences due to people being on the playground at the wrong time.
