Grade 5/6

Term 2

Our Trip to Currawong Bush Park

On Friday 5th May, we set off on an excursion to Currawong Bush Park. Students rotated through a range of activities including:

  • Backyard Biodiversity
  • Epic Ecology
  • World of Waste
  • Environmental Leadership

Some of the days highlights were learning about and meeting a variety of local, native animals with Chris Humphrey, learning about how our environment has changed over time and learning about where our rubbish goes and what items can and can't be recycled.

Grandparents/Special Persons Day

We are looking forward to welcoming your child's special person in to the classroom on Friday 19th May between 10:30-11:30am. As part of our Inquiry unit on Natural Disasters, we were hoping that some may be brave enough to share a natural disaster that they remember/have lived through, with our students. Whilst the students have been busy learning about different types of natural disasters, hearing from people who have first hand experience, is invaluable.

Important Reminders:

-Application for Year 7 Placement 2024 Forms need to be returned today (12th May) to Russell Smith.
