STEM & Kitchen Garden

In Mathematics this week great curriculum links were made by Year 3/4 students. Lucie and Sanne came to my classroom to show their work on Data and Statistics where they investigated the question ‘What was your favourite experiment in Science?’ ( see above picture in article page)

Exciting Project for 5/6 students!

Next term students in Years 5/6 will be involved in a STEM engineering project with engineers from Fulton Hogan Utilities, a company working in water management across Melbourne. Engineers will present a problem on a work site in Romsey for them to come up with a solution, make a model and present it to the company. It will be an engaging and challenging project where the students will visit the site and work alongside engineers to design a solution.

In the kitchen, Year one and two students finished their unit on potatoes preparing and cooking Potato Latkes and Bombay Potatoes. Lots of grating and chopping and learning the names of new herbs and spices.
