During this term, beginning Monday 22nd May (Week 5), we will be celebrating Catholic Education Week. The theme this year is “May the Words you Speak always be full of Grace” (Col 4:6). Sacred Heart, St Brendan’s and St Mary’s will come together to celebrate Catholic Education Week on Friday 26th June for a Mass at St Mary's Church 10:00 am.

 

On Friday 16th June we will be celebrating FEAST OF SACRED HEART beginning with a 10:00 am Mass, led by Fr Michael  in the Multipurpose Room here at Sacred Heart. Following Mass, the Year 6 Leaders will deliver donations from Sacred Heart School to St Vinnies. 

This week the Year 6 students will be visiting classrooms across the school and speaking with the students and teachers, highlighting the importance of giving to those in need. 

 

Set out below are the following suggested donations per grade:

 

Foundation: Baby clothes, socks, dressing gowns, pyjamas for any age male/female.

 

Year One: Toiletries: hair brushes, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, Band-aids, tissues, can openers and also tin soup

 

Year Two: Pillow cases, pillows, heat packs, tins of spaghetti or baked beans

 

Year Three: Scarfs, gloves, beanies, slippers, packet of biscuits 

 

Year Four: Cutlery -such as spoons, plastic bowls, breakfast cereals

 

Year Five: Soft toys (if used good condition), colouring books, textas, pencil cases 

 

Year Six: Doonas, travel mugs and/or a $5 donation.

 

Please note:  if it is not possible to donate from the suggested items on your child's Grade list, any items/or money  from the above list would be greatly appreciated.  The items you bring can be dropped off to the office or into your child’s classroom anytime.
