I am delighted to introduce myself and share my extensive experience in the education industry. I have been teaching for 17 years in both mainstream and specialist schools, starting my career in the UK before moving to Melbourne in 2017. My qualifications include a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a BSc Honours Degree in Sports Studies. I have also held various professional development certifications throughout my teaching career. My main expertise lies in VCE Vocational Major (previously VCAL) and Health and Physical Education, however, I have worked in a variety of roles and can apply my skills in any educational environment. I am passionate about teaching and strive to motivate and engage students to ensure progress and attainment is made. My aim is to identify new and innovative educational practices and continue to learn as an active member of the teaching profession. I am confident that my interpersonal, communication and motivational skills will be of great benefit to the students and their families in the school community. My goal is to help students become more well-rounded individuals and effective members of society, and I look forward to helping them achieve success in life and education. I am excited to be working with the students and their families and be a part of your community.

Hi I’m Jason.

I was feeling unfulfilled in my long-term role as production manager in the manufacturing industry and wanted a more rewarding career change.

I decided I would love to be involved in making a real contribution within the community and had a passion about working with young people.

I decided to go back to school to study. I have now been working in community services for the past 6 years.

My journey in Education began at Melbourne Polytechnic, where I completed a Certificate IV in Community Services and Residential Youth Care.

In the past I have spent a number of years volunteering as a Youth Mentor with The Raise Foundation, mentoring year 9, 10 & 11 students at secondary colleges in Melbourne's north, and time as a Young Carer Support Worker with Merri Health at The Hub @ Northland.

My employment began as a Case Practice Support Worker at DHHS – Child Protection, where I was tasked to use my skills to undertake supervision of access visits between children/young people and their families and/or carers.

Most recently I began working at Plenty River College as a Youth Welfare Worker and Education Support. I have been helping students reach their learning goals and have been providing support for their wellbeing.

Overall, I am a passionate and motivated individual who has extensive experience in supporting and mentoring young people. I am committed to providing the best support and guidance to the young people I work with.
