With the refurbishment of our old Primary School underway and plans for further development in the senior area, we would like to invite parents and friends of Belgrave Heights Christian School, to make a donation to the BHCS Building Fund. A building fund donation provides the opportunity to contribute to the School in a very practical and permanent way which will provide learning opportunities to current and future students who will gain the benefits of the amazing new facilities.
With the end of the financial year approaching, this would be a perfect time to make a contribution – no amount is too small.
Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so by making a payment at reception (cash or credit card) or by bank transfer to the School’s Building Fund account as follows:-

GAT 2023 - THURSDAY 15 JUNE
The GAT is an external assessment set by VCAA as part of the VCE assessment processes. The GAT does not count directly towards a student’s VCE results, however, it is used to check that VCE external assessments and school-based assessments have been accurately and fairly assessed, as well as contributing towards determining the final score for a VCE external assessment if a student has a derived examination score approved for that assessment. The GAT also serves to measure student literacy and numeracy skills.
All students in Year 11 and 12 students undertaking a Unit 3/4 VCE subject, scored Unit 3/4 VET Subject, or Senior VCE VM, are required to sit the GAT, both assessed and non-assessed.
This will take place on Thursday 15th June.
Information regarding the GAT can be found in this link:
This year, the GAT is split into two separate sessions:
- Section A – assessing Literacy and Numeracy
- Section B – assessing Mathematics, Science, Technology, The Arts, and Humanities, as well as critical and creative thinking skills
Students' GAT slips (which will be emailed to them) indicate which sessions they are required to attend.
The following details are of particular importance:
- Section A runs from 9:00am – 11:15am and Section B runs from 1:15pm – 3:00pm.
- Students MUST arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start time, i.e. 8:30am.
- Students will need pens, pencils and an eraser to complete the GAT. They must use either a blue or black pen to complete the two writing tasks and a pencil for the multiple-choice answer page.
- It is strongly recommended that students bring a scientific calculator and English dictionary for the GAT.
For Year 11 students who are not required to undertake the GAT, there will be no VCE classes on this day. Students not currently enrolled in a Unit 3/4 subject, or in Year 12 VCE VM will not be required to attend school this day.
If you have any questions regarding this information, please do not hesitate to contact our VCE Coordinator, Mrs Farrand or VCE VM & VET Coordinator, Mr Ware.
