Sports Update
District Cross Country Team
Our District cross country team represented the college and had an outstanding showing at the District Cross Country event. A total of 63 athletes represented the college with incredible skill and determination on the day. We'd like to extend our congratulations to all of our athletes for representing the college so well and for their hard work and effort on the day.
Some outstanding performance on the day include:
- 12-13 Girls- Asha Morrow 1st
- 12-13 Boys- Harry Gallagher 2nd
- 14 Girls- Mikayla Coutts 1st + Tylah Frankenberg 2nd
- 15 girls- Mahli Harwood 3rd
- 18-20 boys- Brodie Carpenter 2nd

Junior Girls Football- Undefeated!
An outstanding performance by our junior girls football team in their recent competition. The girls were undefeated for the day, showing their incredible talent and sportsmanship throughout the day. We are extremely proud of their efforts and achievements.
Special mention to Tylah Frankenberg amazing goal scored in the final. Her goal put the team up by 5 points with 4 minutes left to win the game!
We would like to congratulate all of the girls on their exceptional performance, and excited to see how they go as they prepare for the Regional competition in Term 3.
Year 7 Softball- Off to State!
Our Year 7 Girls softball team has made it to the state championship after an incredible performance at the region softball competition. The team went undefeated throughout the day, showcasing their dedication, skill, and teamwork.
We are incredibly proud of all the players for their amazing performance and hard work. Their talent and determination were evident in every game they played, and they displayed sportsmanship and respect for their opponents.
We wish the Year 7 Girls softball team all the best in the state championship in Term 4, the whole College community is behind you!
State Swimming- Levi De Saint Aromain
We would like to congratulate Levi De Saint Aromain for his outstanding performance at the state swimming championship earlier this Term. Levi competed in 50m Breaststroke, 50m Butterfly, and 50m Freestyle. Making it to state is a remarkable achievement, and we are incredibly proud of Levi's performance.
We look forward to watching him continue to excel in the future at EMC. Once again, congratulations to Levi De Saint Aromain on his remarkable performance at the state swimming championship.
Interschool Girls Soccer- 6-0 and Region Bound
The Interschool girls soccer team had an incredible victory at district, winning 6-0. It was an outstanding effort by the whole team, who worked tirelessly to secure the win. We'd like to extend a massive congratulations to Coach Mr. Mcfarlane on his first win at district sport. This is a huge achievement for both staff and students, and we're incredibly proud of the team's hard work and dedication. Keep up the fantastic work, girls!
State Golf- Angus Hoey and Daniel Semmens
We're thrilled to report that our college was represented exceptionally well at the State Golf event held at Gisbourne Golf Course. Both of our boys displayed incredible skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. We'd like to extend our congratulations to Angus for finishing in 5th place with a net score of +5. This is a remarkable achievement and we're incredibly proud. Well done to both boys for representing the college outstandingly.
