Pancake Day

On Thursday 25th May, a Year 12 Pancake Day was organized, coordinated, and carried out by Lucas Medew with the help of Pancakes on the Run (formally Stacks Pancake Bar). The day was a great success with over 130 students participating in the pancake brunch.

The year twelves received a double short stack of buttermilk pancakes that came with an array of toppings with the option of: ice cream or butter, chocolate syrup, maple syrup, jam or lemon sugar.

The goal of the event was to raise spirits in a cold wintertime, in the middle of the school year when students’ motivation is low/ lacking, this was an awesome opportunity to raise spirits in the middle of a cold school term. Also acting as a farewell for the Fastrack VM students who finish next Thursday 8th, congratulations on your schooling.

Scott and Seng from Pancakes on the Run were awesome, coming in with a “no one will miss out” mentality, providing paper plates, cutlery and serviettes for the students as well. Also preparing the batter and pancakes were cooked on site right in front of everyone participating. The line flowed well and everyone enjoyed watching them get prepared right in front of them, apologies to those who had to wait in the cold for a short period, the line was just out the door!

Shout out to the year 10 helpers who assisted with the topping station and Ms Coombes who was a massive help every step of the way!
