New FOCUS format

For the last few years we have been looking for a platform to use that allows for translation into other languages of the newsletter. We have looked into many versions and companies and we have decided to use this platform as it is compatible across all devices. We welcome feedback from our community about the ease of use and the successful language translation of it's content.

News from Ms Lawson

Ms Lawson continues to enjoy her long service leave and it has become all the more special for her as she welcomed her first grandchild on Wednesday 7th June. Her new grandson, Jai, is getting lots of cuddles and love from his extended family. We are thrilled for the Lawson family as they get to know their newest member.

Congratulations from all of us at PPS!

Student safety in the mornings

As you would all be aware of from Kindergarten Transition, supervision in the playground starts at 9am. The external gates are opened close to 9am so that the grounds and building are secure in the early hours of the morning.

Mr Archie, our General Assistant, opens the gates on Greenlands Avenue and Bailey Parade (near the kindergarten classrooms). The gate next to the carpark on Bailey Parade (Attunga Before School Care entry) is closed but not locked.

The main gate on Bonds Rd is opened by the Office staff.

Students are discouraged from arriving to school before 9am for their safety. Any students who arrive at the gates before then should be supervised by an adult.

New Reporting Format

Early next week an explanation of the new reporting to parents format will be sent home. This information will explain the changes to the new English and mathematics curriculum as well as an example of the new format and what each section shows about your child's achievement in Semester One. The teachers have been working hard on the physical layout of the report as well as its ease of understanding for parents. The report will be emailed to the address confirmed in Term One.

Excursion Permission notes and payment online via School Bytes

As of next term, excursion information, parental permission and payment will be completed via School Bytes. Initially, information for excursions or visiting presentation will continue to be sent home on paper, however, the permission and payment will be online.

Year 6 Cake Stall Fundraiser

Thank you to the Year 6 teachers and students for their contributions to the Cake Stall Fundraiser.  Our wonderful students raised $935.75 to go towards the Year 6 Farewell Dinner.

SRC Pyjama Day

On Wednesday the SRC are holding a fundraiser for children in foster care. Please see the information below. Cafe Roman, Riverwood is also supporting this very worthy cause and will be donating any raised funds alongside whatever our students raise. Thank you Nadia and staff for partnering with us.
