Acting Principal's Notes

Paper truck loading

The Lions Club have advised us that they will be short on numbers for the paper truck loading this Sunday 4th June due to other events and commitments.  If you could please go to the old railway shed at 10am to lend a hand it would be very much appreciated. Please support them, as they support us!

Cavendish PS singlets

If any students still have their Cavendish PS sports singlets at home from athletics or cross country, please return them to school.

Food Bank drive

In last week's newsletter we advised that Junior School Council is holding a food drive for the Hamilton Uniting Church during this Term.  If you would like to donate, please send in non-perishable food to school.  There is a box and tub on the library kitchenette bench for the donations.  Thank you.

Eisteddfod

All Cavendish PS students will be attending the Hamilton Eisteddfod on Thursday 8th June.  Students will be transported on Jon Herrmann's buses.  After completion of the Eisteddfod students may go home with family, those who are not, will be returned to school by bus.

The school will cover the costs of this event.

The information at this stage is:-

Year 6 & Under Primary School Choral Championship starts at 9:30am but the Cavendish Students will sing last in that section to allow us time to get into Hamilton. The next section is the Year 6 & Under Primary School Folk Song Contest which also just involves the Year 2-6 students.

There will be a break for lunch and the afternoon session starts again at 1:30pm. The Primary School Multi-Instrumental Group section which includes the whole school is the second section after lunch and should begin at about 2:00pm. We will be leaving at approximately 2:30pm.
