Year 9

All Year 9 students were taken through their subject selection requirements for 2021 on Wednesday 19 August. By now, the PowerPoint and applicable forms will be on SIMON. Students are encouraged to watch the Powerpoint again with their parents. These forms are to completed and returned via email to subjectselection@sjcbe.catholic.edu.au by Friday 4 September. All students were asked to consider what subjects they like and that they are good at when choosing their electives and not to select subjects just because their friends were doing them. 

It is very pleasing to again report that in most cases,  Year 9 students seem to be coping much better during this second period of online learning. We are following the timetable across all subjects and that includes the Wednesday Program. Students are asked to be regularly checking Teams as well as their Email and Simon to make sure they are keeping up to date with subject requirements. The Year 9 Camp has been officially cancelled for Term 3. It is our hope that we will be able to reschedule the Camp for Term 4 but unfortunately it is largely out of our control. Parent/Student/Teacher interviews were held in the last couple of weeks and hopefully provided all of us with some clarity around any issues with online learning.
