Hi Parents/Carers,

We’ve been ‘Switching Things Up’ on-site for the Wellbeing Challenge, the BNW ‘I’m Still Standing Dance Video’ https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSciQouoh-wOfYtokc0-R_zDgwa3MzJFZygOup6EtLK5T3VylA/view form follow the link to join in the silliness! We all enjoyed switching out the desks for our dancing shoes and it reminded us to find the fun in the small things and to remember to laugh at ourselves.

So many other incredible events are coming up, beginning with the ISOLYMPICs, Spring Step & Community Expert Week to conclude Term 3! Our community has not let this lockdown be a barrier for experiences as people work creatively to bring us together by using what resources we have.

Deb, Jenny & I have been loving the responses for the Community Expert Week and we are truly excited to wrap up Term 3 with a week that will bring our community members into our virtual learning world, as experts!! If this is something that interests you, please get in touch however it is a no obligation invitation

Another invitation that the teachers have taken up is being interviewed on the ‘Education Hour…No Silly Questions’, this has been a wonderful opportunity to try and shed some light on the teaching and learning at BNWPS. This was a suggestion recommended at Education Committee in response to family feedback. Keep a lookout to add your questions google form. Education Hour Survey.

A possibility that was also discussed at Education Committee for Remote Learning 2.0 was ‘an opportunity for greater sharing of the curriculum goals to broaden parent understanding of the learning pathways and goals’. Last Friday Team Leaders would’ve sent out Literacy Curriculum Continuums as an optional resource for those families who are interested in the sequence of skill attainment. If you have any questions about this work feel free to contact me flora.nixon@education.vic.gov.au or your child’s teacher.

In my last newsletter I featured some of the CAT leaders Learning Pit projects, recently the Jnr JSC has been sharing some tips & tricks, please enjoy reading through them & discussing your child’s experiences in the learning pit.

In the Jnr JSC, they ran a Home Helper challenge, sounds like I might need this at my house too!! Well done to everyone who participated!
