Visual Communication & Design and Media
Throughout Term 3 the year 10 students of Visual Communication and Design and Media and Photography have been busy working on their Term 3 Assessments.
The students of Visual Communication and Design completed their first design task on the topic of Aztec and Tribal Art where they designed and created their own phone cases. Their designs were inspired by the art of these movements, as well as incorporating their own style through the application of a silhouette design.
The students worked incredibly hard on this unit with most having never used the programs of Adobe Illustrator or PhotoShop before.

The students of Media and Photography completed their first film analysis on the independent New Zealand film ‘Boy’. Prior to completing their film analysis the students did a range of research into the following 8 areas of Media which gave them an in-depth knowledge of the areas they would be analysing from the film ‘Boy’ from research into other films;
