College Captains Message 

Hello everyone,

During the Stage 4 Restrictions it is important to recognise the silver lining; that we have the opportunity to take a step back and use this time to grow. As easy as it might be to focus on the negatives, we must also recognise that we may never have such an opportunity again, to pause, reflect and find out what we really value.

Although the current times are tough, we would like to thank our school community for doing the right thing and protecting those who are vulnerable, in a variety of ways.

We would like to thank all of the students who have participated and persevered with remote learning. We would like to acknowledge the efforts of the parents who have supported students at home. Our gratitude is also extended to the staff who have adapted to this new learning environment to provide us with a sense of normality and continuity in our learning.

We are also extremely fortunate to have reliable communications technology at our fingertips. Times like these allow us all to appreciate how fruitful social media/networking platforms can be in our daily lives. It’s exciting to consider what the ‘new normal’ will look like for us in the future.

Living through this change in the world has provided those of us who are about to leave school with a new perspective; we now realise how valuable

time is, that we cannot take our friends and family for granted,

that our health is our wealth and that the future holds endless

possibilities. Pathways we had not typically considered, are being

brought to the forefront of our minds.

Remember, we are thinking of you all.
