Pay it Forward

A helping hand...
We were all deeply saddened to learn of the sudden, tragic loss of a valued member of our school and local community, Steven Robinson. Steven was the Father of one of our CHPS Students. A GoFundMe page has been set up by a family friend of the Robinson's, which we are sharing by way of support for Steven's late wife, Susan and their three children.

Congratulations Mr Travis Stevenson
Recently, our Principal Ms Jane Satchwell received a wonderful email from a parent, acknowledging our Physical Education Specialist Teacher, Mr Travis Stevenson for a positive interaction that was witnessed during Assembly. He explained that there was a little boy who appeared bored with the formal proceedings (as younger children often are!), and when he approached Mr Stevenson, instead of ignoring him or brushing him off as an annoyance, Travis quietly interacted with the young child and gave him a pen and paper as an activity to keep his attention, allowing the child's parents to enjoy the assembly and the child to feel comfortable and welcome. It was acknowledged as a great display of positive attitude and confidence, setting an example for students and parents, that embodies the school's culture and values. It makes us incredibly proud to receive feedback such as this, when Staff go 'above and beyond' in their roles, not only directly in relation to CHPS Students, but the broader school community. Well done to Travis!
