Box Hill High School Turns 90!

Box Hill High School in 1956

The year was 1930. Pharlap won the Melbourne Cup, Collingwood won the VFL grand final against Geelong, a Labor government led by James Scullin was in power and Box Hill High School was born.

Originally established as a single sex all-boys school, Box Hill High School has evolved over its 90 years and we would love to hear your stories about what the school has meant to the community that it serves.

If you would like to share your memories about Box Hill High School, we would love to include them in our annual school magazine, CrossRoads that will be published at the end of this year.

The following is a guide of what you might like to include.

A maximum of 300 words is recommended.

  • When did you attend/work/engage with BHHS and how long did your relationship with the school last?
  • What are your fondest memories of BHHS?
  • What were some of the biggest changes you saw at BHHS?
  • What do you think have been the schools biggest achievements?
  • How would you describe your time at BHHS in one sentence?

Please email your BHHS memories to kylie.pearson@education.vic.gov.au
