Focus on Learning

Mrs Wilson; Year 3-4

What happens in the 3-4 classroom?

Lots of amazing things happen behind the 3-4 classroom door. In the morning session we concentrate on our Literacy Block. This Term we have been doing some very interesting animal Information Reports. The children have learned how to use Google Slides to present their information to the class. Some children have even taught Mrs Wilson how to add some fun elements to her Google Slides. Below you can see the reports they have been working on.

We have our Mathematics block after recess. In Mathematics we are learning about addition strategies both mental and written. As a quick consolidation of what we have learned during a lesson, we finish with a KAHOOT.  A Kahoot is a fun quiz that you too can do at home; the children love them.

In the afternoon we concentrate on our other KLA's like History, Science, PDH and Music.

Here is my amazing class playing Hot Cross Buns.

On Thursdays after recess we do our Big Write. This is what it looks like in the 3-4 room.

Mr Gambrill, as a special surprise shared with us the VR headsets from St Edward's. We all had a brilliant time experiencing dinosaurs, places in Australia and space. The children exclaimed "Mrs Wilson, this was the best day ever."
