the communications working party - sentral app update

The Communications Working Party (CWP) have been working with the school administrative team over the past few weeks to test a brand new version of the Sentral app. We've been sending feedback directly to Sentral who have been taking on our suggestions to help produce a much improved app and user experience.

The new version of the app will be released soon - we will keep you informed once we have an official release date. We are working with the office team (especially Mayii) and school leadership to ensure that the transition to the updated app results in a better experience with Sentral for all parents and carers. We'll be providing more details and information soon, and are hoping to get many of you who have had negative experiences with the Sentral app back on board.

We have listened to your detailed and important feedback in the recent communications survey, and are working with the school to develop and implement a communications plan to create clear, consistent and timely communications. We hope to have this completed by the end of Term 2 and thank you all for your input.

Also, we will be publishing some summarised findings from the communications survey to the school community in the coming weeks. Look out for this update in the newsletter coming soon.

a big thank you from us at CET to all those who participated in the virtual trivia night

What a fun night and opportunity to get together with this group of our people from the BNW community!

We missed those who couldn't join us!

Janet, of Planet Janet Trivia, did a fabulous job of running the evening.

Congratulations to the winning team Lemmy Cats Gin At Recess!

Thank you to Moon Dog, Noisy Ritual and Me Or the Cake for providing some of us with goodies on the night.

A big thank you to the businesses who donated prizes:

  • Brunswick Bound
  • Bunnings
  • Cherry Bomb hair salon,
  • Cirelli and Co.
  • Dan Murphy's
  • Me Or the Cake
  • Miinot gelati
  • Miss Penny Cakes
  • Nella Combe for the beautiful ceramics
  • Officeworks

Although we only set out for this to be a fun, connecting event, your enthusiasm and participation, and purchasing of the games meant that we raised $1700 for our school!

We thank you all for your generous contributions, particularly at this time.

As it is unlikely we will be able to get back to our usual events right now, we would love to hold more of this kind of virtual gathering if it is of interest to people.

Please let us know if you are keen for more trivia or similar.
