sprout

Hello everyone!

On Monday we are having a sale of the frozen meals in the Sprout freezer, all of them will be half price - $7.50. There are coconut curries, chickpea curries, dhal, and mex beans. Roti is also available, however we have changed our status and are no longer selling Nan's special Roti, but acting as a distributor, it will continue to be $10 for a pack of 5. Anyone who has tried this Roti will agree it is a premium product! Please support Nan and grab a packet. In the past it has been held back for curry purchases only, but now you can buy the Roti at any time, no strings attached!!

Please keep reading notices to get updates on Take Home Meals. I am sure you can all understand the complexities with the current school restrictions, we are trying to find the smoothest way possible for you to purchase (and waiting on inevitable updates from the Department of Education...).

In the meantime I will be available next Monday at the Shetland Avenue entrance with the eftpos machine and frozen meals ready to go. Grab a bargain.

If you have any jars you would be happy to part ways with please feel free to donate them to Sprout. Please give us a call if you would like to drop some off or they can be left outside the office for collection. Also, if you have any excess produce that would be good for preserves feel free to donate to Sprout.

They are back!!! Finally, our Foundation and Junior have returned to school and OSHC and we all enjoyed seeing their faces! We truly missed them!

It was so beautiful to catch up with our little people and moreover it was so wonderful to hear the children’s laughter and giggling… That was priceless!

Meantime, here at the program students have been very creative with more fun videos, we even had a whole dance routine choreographed and performed by Maya, Lola and Frankie on Katy Perry’s notes – Roar! And you must watch Tears of Love starring Flub Flub Adam, Amira and Micah:

Returning to school and OSHC

To support the transition back to school and OSHC in a healthy and safe environment, we are going to have few changes to our operations:

1. Restrictions on access to the school site for anyone other than immediate school staff and students: Please you use the MPR glass door (where usually the assembly or music lesson occurs). An OSHC educator will be in the MPR to greet and sight the parents/carers. Parents/carers will not sign in/out the children at this stage.

Please a reminder that parents and carers must walk the students to the glass door. Under no circumstances students are to walk by themselves into the program. This is against the law.

2. Students will be reminded and expected to wash their hands/ use sanitiser when:

- every time they enter the building (including outdoor play);

- before and after eating;

- between activities.

Reminders:

  1. Sick Students

If a child is unwell or present any cold/flu symptoms they must stay home. If we observe that a child is unwell, OSHC will contact the parents/carers to collect their children according to our Illness Policy. You will find a copy of our policy on the school website:

https://www.brunswicknwps.vic.edu.au/uploaded_files/media/oshc_2019_parent_handbook_ver_2.3_draft.pdf

2. Confirm your bookings

If you need care, don’t forget to make your booking requests. You will receive an offer email and you must accept the offer. If you don’t accept the offer, your bookings will not be confirmed.
