Cross Country

Cross Country will look a bit different this year.

We know many of our students will be sad to miss out on the normal Cross Country Carnival this year.  They don't need to miss out all together though.  This year, students are invited to run their own race and let us know about it online.

A Canvas 'course' has been set up and is available on every student's Canvas Dashboard.  There you will find instructions on how to go about your run.  Make sure you read the instructions.  It's not compulsory, but if you do participate, you will earn points for your house.  These are easy points, don't miss out on them!

Everyone has until Friday, the 29th of May, 3.30pm to run their race and upload their results.  Some basic info is provided below, but go to Canvas for the full rundown.

1. Speak to your parents about the fun run and agree on a safe and appropriate time and route
2. Go for a run with appropriate parental supervision
3. Time yourself
4. Get a photo of yourself running.
5. Runners can earn up to 5 points for their House. You score one point for each of the following:
   1. You must be in the photo
   2. You must be running in the photo
   3. Wear your correct MCC sport uniform
   4. Show your house colours
   5. Upload your run details (from an app, or manual calculations)
6. Post your photo and run details in the Fun run uploads discussion section on Canvas  before 3:30pm next Friday, May 29.
