BSC and Headspace Working Together to Promote Mental Health

Senior VCAL students have been studying the issues of homelessness and mental health, as part of their learning outcome students were asked to plan an event.

Rhiannon Thompson and Darby McNamara proposed they raise money for Headspace by selling cupcakes.  Students spent two sessions making approximately 300 cupcakes to sell at the Nicholson Street Mall on Thursday 29th August, 2019.

They sold out of Cupcakes in 3 hours, they also sold 200 sausages in bread making a profit of $530 to donate to Headspace.

Staff involved were extremely impressed with the students teamwork, organisation skills and the students representation of the College to the community.
