7A

Term 3 has been an exciting time for us. We have changed into a number of new Technology subjects which means we have been learning a lot of new skills, including how to use a soldering iron and performing in front of each other.

Our semester of German has come to an end and it is now Konnichi wa to Japanese.

Our favourite thing from Science so far was when we got to dissect a squid which we all loved and can't wait until we can dissect again.

For English our book we are currently studying is called "Black Snake". We will just have to wait and see how it ends.

In Maths, we have finally finished Fractions and have moved onto Statistics. We have been collecting data in many different ways and, as you can can see by the pictures, we collected data by seeing how long it would take for chocolate to melt in our mouths. It was really fun because we got to eat chocolate and learn at the same time.

One of our favourite things about being in 7A are the friends we have made in class. At the beginning of the year we didn't really know each other and now other students in 7A are some of our best friends. Team work is really important and we have been practising working together because at school 7A is like our family.

7E Science with Ms Tu

7E students are learning how the proportions of substances in the mixture impact the physical characteristics of the mixture. On Tuesday , students were investigating the perfect portion of sand and water to create stable sand castles. At the end of the class, students compared each other's sand castle and discussed the potential amendments that they could make.

7K Systems with Mr Holmes

Year 7K Systems students have created a design option to build their circuit onto. They have taken into account the space needed for the circuit and then worked out what the requirements are for materials and components. They are now in the process of constructing the actual circuit then testing that it works. Students are then challenged to add something that moves, with the ability to switch the circuit on and off.
