Art - Tuesday

Task: This is the last week we are going to work on our memory books which are capturing some of your favourite moments you have had at BPS.

Turn the page in your book to the next double page. You are going to draw a collection of pictures, or just one big picture of a memory from a different year or different years at school across the two pages. If you have time, add colour to your drawing as well. You can use any drawing materials you have around the house to add colour to your drawing. For example, highlighters, pens, pencils, crayons etc.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

Your first day of school - a small version of you, hopefully excited to start school

Your favourite subject, there could be more than one, that you have had throughout school

A funny moment from another year at school

A moment that made you feel proud

A school camp or an excursion that you went on

As always you don’t have to use my ideas, you can come up with your own ideas. These are things to help you get started.

Visual Example:

Extension: If you finish this drawing and have more time, find an inspirational quote to help you on your way to high school next year. Write this quote in a nice font on the back cover of your book.

For Parents:

As this is the last memory that they have added to their memory book, please ask your child these questions to help them reflect on their learning:

What has been a memory that has stood out for you during your whole time at school? Why do you think it stands out?

What are you looking forward to for when you go back to school, for your last year at primary school?

How can you make sure you make the most of your time in Grade 6?

LOTE Mandarin - Wednesday

Hello Grade 6s, today we are revisiting colours, and expressing likes and dislikes.

Someone of you have learnt the Mandarin of different colours with me last year. I wonder if you still remember them?

Colours

Watch this video for this week’s lesson, then complete the task below.

Your task

Your task this week is to record a video of you telling me if you like or dislike each of the 8 colours you just learnt.

Please record one continuousvideo with all 8 sentences. You may want to practice many times before you start to record!

Bonus Task

For those who wants to do a little more, interview your family members and if they like or dislike each of the colours above, then record a video telling me their answers in Mandarin.

Performing Arts - Thursday

Special FX Makeup Portfolio

Creating a Digital Portfolio

This week Grade 6 to allow some people to catch up with the work, those of you who have completed all of the tasks so far will be starting on creating your digital Portfolio's.  Your portfolio will need to be completed by the time we return to school and will include:

  • Your Easter Vlog
  • Your research/presentation into Special FX and how it has developed over the century
  • Pictures of your Special FX Make-up that you created
  • (more to come..........)

Your digital portfolio can be presented in any way you choose but must be able to include video, pictures and text.  I would suggest using Google Slides as you can add and edit it as the term continues and will be easy to upload to Google Classroom for final marking.
