From the Principal

Celebrating all things great at the Grove.

End of Year Messages

Its been another wonderful year at the Grove!  We have managed to grow and have some amazing moments in amongst the craziness of another COVID year.  We escaped with only 1 week of remote learning & I think that is pretty good going compared to some other states & countries.  I thank you for your ongoing support and understanding this year, it has been such a joy to get to know you and your children and be your principal.

I am proud of the achievements of the students and staff this year & we will celebrate that on our Learning Celebration assembly next Monday.  Families will recieve an invitation to this event if their child is receiving an award.  Report cards will be emailed home on Thursday - 9th December, please contact the office if you need to update email addresses ASAP.

With borders opening and a new strain entering our shores we never know what the new year will bring.  I will endevour to keep you updated as I know changes over the holidays and if there are any effects on the start of the year.  Please continue to monitor our Class Dojo & Facebook pages for information.

School payments

Statements came home last week for a couple of outstanding payments, these are now overdue, please have this year's fees finalised ASAP.

Student Resource Scheme forms have come home this week.  Please return these ASAP for our ordering over the holidays.  Books will be labelled and sent to classrooms at the beginning of the year.  Invoices will come home in the 1st term for payment.

Thanks to all our families for their support during tricky times with COVID & rain events.  Your flexiblity and responsiveness makes these situations so much smoother to navigate.  I appreciate that you check your messages and engage with staff during these times.  I know that there are always ways we can improve and we are open to your feedback on making GGSS the best it can be.

I wish all our families a safe and joyous summer holiday, enjoy time with your loved ones and I wish all our year 6 students every success in their next stage of schooling.  Thanks to those families that are also moving on to new school and communities, we appreciate you being part of the Glenore Grove school and hope we have been a fond memory in your journeys.  We look forward to seeing others back for a fabulous 2022!
