From the Principal

Dear Parents/Carers, Staff and Students

What a term it has been!  It has been wonderful to have our students and staff have a full return to onsite learning and with the further easing of restrictions, be able to offer participation in various events.

Bastow Teaching Excellence Program

Congratulations to Ms Ursula Kulling, Mr Adam Martin, and Mr Joel Treyvaud on being accepted into the first intake of this program offered by the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership in 2022.  Ms Birra-li Ward, who is joining us in 2022 (Arts), has also been selected to participate.  It is a wonderful opportunity for these staff members and for our school to be so strongly represented is great recognition of the quality of teaching here at the school.

Early Commencement

It has been great to see so many excited students with the beginning of our Early Commencement Program which ran the for one week for 2022 Senior School students and two weeks for Years 8 to 10 in 2022.

Our Early Commencement program allows students to meet most of their teachers for 2022 and to experience their new subjects.  The work covered during this time becomes part of their assessment for Semester 1 next year.

Orientation Day - Year 7 2022

We welcomed our 2022 Year 7 students on Tuesday 7 December.  After running a modified Orientation Day at the end of 2020, we returned to our full Orientation Day program which was extremely exciting for both us and also the incoming Year 7 Class of 2022.  The day began in the Performing Arts Theatre (PAT) at 9.00am with an assembly before students were dismissed into their 2022 classes for a fun filled day of activities at Frankston High School.  Thank you to Mr Darin Joyce and the Junior Sub School Team for their efforts organising this day.

Presentation Night - Wednesday 15 December

We are recording our 2021 Presentation Night and will send out a link for families to watch this from Wednesday 15 December. We look forward to recognising and celebrating some of the wonderful achievements of our students despite the challenges.
