Junior Class - Mrs Creek

Giraffes Can’t Dance’ by G. Andraea has been our shared story for this week. Gerald was a tall giraffe whose neck was long and slim, but his knees were awfully bandy and his legs were rather thin. The animals laugh at Gerald because he can’t dance. A helpful cricket teaches him to dance to a different song. We are dancing elements of this song in our Assembly item this week.

Kinder visits last week featured the story ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?’ by Eric Carle.

This week our story is ‘Shh Little Mouse’ by Pamela Allen. Look out for the children signing the title.

Prayers this week has been about our world. As we look around our family, community and school environment there is peace and joy to be found.

Middle Class - Miss Williams

This week we have continued on with our book from last week ‘Dog Lost’. We have been continuing to work on our scaffolding literacy process in which we have been working on writing our own sentences, with a partner and with the whole class following the structure of two sentences from the book.

We have been working hard in maths and have been working on slightly new rotations. Both year levels have finished all 12 of the Stepping Stones modules and have been rotating through different activities while Miss Williams has been assessing other students.

Senior Class - Ms Murphy

This week in the senior class, we’ve been looking at a paragraph in the book Storm Boy and changing many words in it to words that have the same meaning. On Friday we had a PJ and Pizza Day, watched a movie called, 'Home Alone' and of course made pizzas! The entire Senior class can agree that Friday was the best day of the week. Thursday was a close second with an hour session of playing basketball. It was orange vs green with green winning by 9 goals.  Written by Zara

Little Joey

This week we continue to acknowledge the significant role of the "Brown Joeys" in the establishment of St Patrick's School, and recognised David with a Little Joey award. Our Little Joeys receive a certificate, sticker and a voucher/goods donated by a local business.  We are very grateful for the contributions from our local businesses.
