Terrific Kids Term 2

Riley's beaming smile, kindness and considerate nature brightens the classroom. He consistently encompasses the school values, especially resilience, as he learns from his mistakes improving as a learner each day. It is a pleasure to watch his inquisitive nature shine through his constant questioning of the world around him.  

Sophie is an enthusiastic member of Syndal South.  She arrives everyday ready and willing to learn.  She is attentive to her lessons and also her classmates.  She is always one of the first to offer to help anyone and works well with other children.  She completes all her work and is always wanting to improve her work each time she does something.  She is always willing to give her opinions and also listens respectively to her classmate’s thoughts.  Well done Sophie.

Kemindu is a wonderful role model for his peers in the way that he conducts himself and treats others. He displays all of the Syndal South values and is a respectful and responsible member of the year two team. He understands the importance of learning and supports others around him to reach their full potential. Kemindu shows kindness and care towards his peers and works cooperatively during team building activities. Congratulations on this well-deserved Terrific Kids award, you should be very proud of yourself.

Ivan has had a wonderful term in year 3, and has so many traits that make him our Terrific Kid. He is the most caring and loyal friend that you could have, and he makes everyone smile with his great sense of humour. Ivan shows all of our school values, he is respectful to everyone in the school community, he cares about people and property, he’s resilient in all situations, and he is responsible and trustworthy with every task he’s given.

The progress Ivan has made in reading is phenomenal! He is absolutely brilliant at discussing fiction and non-fiction books and demonstrates that he makes deep connections and inferences. Congratulations Ivan, you really are a Terrific Kid!

Grace is a kind, helpful and enthusiastic student who has made a positive contribution to Syndal South Primary School through her cheerfulness and perseverance. She is respectful of her classmates, shows impeccable manners, demonstrates excellent responsibility and organisation for her learning and tries her best in all tasks. Grace always shows a genuine interest in class activities and regularly contributes ideas in class discussions. She is a wonderful role model and displays excellent leadership qualities not only in the classroom, but through her involvement with Aerobics, SRC and the school Green Team. Congratulations Grace for being our Year 4 Terrific Kid!

Lydia is a motivated student who always puts in her very best effort. She demonstrates all of the Syndal South School Values each and every day she is at school. She is respectful of all her teachers and peers by using impeccable manners and showing patience; the thought and care she puts into her work is outstanding producing work to the best of her ability; she is resilient by pushing herself out of her comfort zone and trying new things, like participating in the Solar Boat program; and she is responsible by being incredibly organised, especially with her involvement in the Victorian High Ability Program. Congratulations Lydia on being the Term 2, Year 5, Terrific Kid!!

Sue is a friendly and caring student who always displays the SSPS school values. She participates in everything with enthusiasm and is always dedicated to do the best she can. This year she has been an outstanding role model to younger students in her role as Aerobics Captain. In class, Sue works hard in all tasks and is dedicated to improving her skills. These are some of the reasons, Sue is the recipient of the Grade 6 Terrific Kid award for term 2. Congratulations Sue!
