What's happening in the 3/4 classrooms

As we approach the final weeks of 2020, students in the Middle School have been hard at work completing their Inquiry projects answering the big question, ‘What makes me a well being?’ This encompasses the term’s learning and investigation of wellbeing across many domains including body, mind, nutrition, people, place and planet. Students have developed an in-depth understanding of how to care for themselves and others during this Inquiry unit and are beginning to also put these new learnings into practice by bringing in healthy school lunches and becoming more active in and out of the classroom. It has been very valuable for the students to spend time establishing positive wellbeing practices as we come to the end of a very challenging school year.

The 3/4 students have been beginning to celebrate the lead up to Christmas by lighting our first Advent candle and completing Christmas themed activities with their peers. We have also been able to reflect on how not everyone in the world will be spending Christmas with their loved ones this year and showing dignity to others by writing cards and prayers for people who are less fortunate.

Congratulations Middle School! You have been a pleasure to teach this year and we wish you every success and happiness for the future. You have displayed resilience, courage and kindness onsite and during home learning and we are very proud of all your accomplishments in 2020. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed 2021!
