District Athletics

On Tuesday 13th August, a team of 60 students ranging from Year 3 -6, participated in the Bentleigh District Athletics Carnival, at the Duncan MacKinnon Athletics Track.

Students could only participate in two individual events, and circular relay. Team selections were based on the results from the Year 3-6 House Athletics Carnival, and data collated in Year 5/6 PE lessons.

Oakleigh Grammar students competed in track and field events, such as  80m hurdles, 100m, 200m, 800m, shot put, discus, long jump, triple jump, high jump, and the 4 x 100m relay.

Thank you to all staff and parents that came along to support Oakleigh Grammar students.

Congratulations to the following placegetters:

Lexi Bergmeier (Year 5): 2nd place 11 Girls Discus and Shot Put.

Takara Sharp (Year 6): 3rd place High Jump.

Charlotte Brown (Year 5): 2nd place Triple Jump and 4th place 800m.

Samuel Abbot (year 5): 4th place Triple Jump.

Connie Lekkas (Year 4): 3rd place High Jump.

Rajkaran Sidhu (Year 6): 2nd place High Jump and 800m.

Good luck to Takara Sharp, Charlotte Brown, Rajkaran Sidhu and Lexi Bergmeier who have qualified for Beachside Division Athletics Carnival, which will be held at Lakeside Athletics Stadium on Friday 6th September 2019.
