Year 12 PE

Bundoora Experience

On Friday 5th June, my Year 12 PE class joined up with the year 12 PE students from Wanganui and traveled to RMIT in Bundoora, for a hands on learning experience.

Students had the opportunity to test out elite sports equipment such as timing gates, force plates and GPS monitors. The day was aimed at enhancing the content students have learnt in class as well as giving students the chance to operate devices they wouldn't have access to in Shepparton.

Jessica Allan and Dylan Wagener broke records for the timed sprint and Koady Barrow was able to do the VO2 max test, which measures the maximum amount of oxygen his body can take in and use. This test would normally cost upwards of $300!

Overall, a great day was had by all.
