From the Canteen
Hi from the Canteen!
Wow another term down! Term 2 has been very productive – we’ve varied the menu slightly this term, removing pre-made rolls and introducing lots more wraps to our cold cabinet. The students have embraced this change and we are definitely seeing a change in eating habits. Peri Peri chicken wraps have been a huge hit, seems everybody loves something spicy!
The menu for Term 3 has been ramped up and is quite different to how we’ve worked before. Foods will be grouped on different days, and will give the students lots more choice & variety. We are introducing ‘Build your own Burger Day’ on a Tuesday's and ‘Wrap Day’ each Thursday.
Students will be able to choose their own fillings and create a burger or wrap especially designed for them. (Students must order before school or at recess for this service)
The new menu is attached so have a look over the school holidays.
In Term 3 we will celebrate Canteen Week from the 27th – 31st July. We are planning lots of great specials, meal deals & specialty food days. It should be a great week celebrating our fabulous canteen and our great volunteers’ & helpers
Volunteer duties have been emailed to our current group of helpers; if you haven’t received yours please let us know. Canteen Duty is from 9:30am until 1:30pm. Duties include assisting us with preparation, heating and serving of lunch orders, assisting with window sales at recess & lunch time, and some light cleaning. No prior experience is necessary.
We will give you lots of help and assistance, and we’ll happily provide you with a tasty light lunch! If you would like to be added to our roster please contact the school.
As always, our most sincere thanks go to the volunteers already on our roster. We cannot do it without you, and are so grateful for your ongoing support.
