Arts and Technology Showcase

This year has been an exciting one in the Arts and Technology, which culminated in our annual Arts and Technology Showcase, exhibiting creative works from subjects of Art, Visual Communication, Media, Product Design, as well as performances from Music and Drama and examples of delectable treats prepared by our Food Studies students.

It was a wonderful turnout and is getting bigger every year!

It was again fantastic to have the local primary schools of Scoresby Primary School, Mountain Gate Primary School and for the first year, Ferntree Gully North Primary School exhibiting student work also.  The creativity and innovation displayed by students of such a young age is rewarding to see and holds great promise for their creative futures.

We thank Nick Wakeling MP for officially opening the evening, highlighting the wonderful community connections showcased between the participating primary schools and our college, coming together to present and celebrate the arts.

Congratulations to all students who received awards on the night for excellence in their subjects and outstanding individual pieces.  A special congratulations to Grace Gardner of Year 10 for taking out the “People’s Choice” Award with her striking acrylic painting of The Joker.

We thank Deans Art and Thermo Fisher Scientific for their kind donation of prizes awarded to all students.
