Middle School News

Welcome!

Our Middle School students continue to impress us with their focus and determination. So many of our students have demonstrated our school values of Excellence, Resilience and Respect and have set a fantastic example to start the year. We are very proud of the great work they are doing so far.

Our learning

READING - We have been working on making connections when we read. These connections include text-to-self, text-to-text and text-to-world connections. Students are learning the importance of making connections when reading to help our comprehension.

WRITING - We are learning the craft of persuasive writing, focusing particularly on using evidence to support our arguments.

MATHS - Our focus this fortnight has been on exploring 2D shapes, including their properties and calculating area and perimeter.

HOMEWORK - A reminder of the homework requirements for our Middle School students:

You should see a copy of this checklist glued into your child's diary. Please sign off on it each day. Thank you for encouraging your child to develop a regular homework routine!
