Junior School News

How time flies....
Wow! We are halfway through term 4 already! What a busy first half of term it has been. Over the past few weeks Juniors have become experts in poetry, they have been synthesising a range of different texts and have even been learning to multiply and divide!
Junior School are very excited that we are starting to get some beautiful sunny days, and we have been making sure to take brain breaks outside - we have enjoyed eating our lunch outside when we can.
Colour Run
Last Wednesday we had a very colourful afternoon down at Elizabeth Bridge Reserve. Junior school put on their white tops and got themselves ready to take on the colour run. They all had the opportunity to do three laps of the reserve, and stationed around the reserve were teachers, support staff and even some parents ready to throw coloured powder as the students ran past. By the end of the day we were an absolute mess of colours. It was great to see all of Junior School participating and having an awesome time.
We would like to thank Mrs Molnar for organising such a fun afternoon!!
Indonesian Vistor
This week Junior school was lucky enough to have a visit from our Indonesian guest Wulan.
Wulan is studying in Melbourne but was happy to pay us a visit and tell us all about her culture. She came and had a talk with Juniors about what it is like to live in Indonesia. Some things that we found interesting was that they eat rice every single day, they have motorbikes as their form of taxi and that there is 17,000 islands in Indonesia.
It was great to see the Juniors asking interesting questions and making Wulan feel very welcome.
Reminder
As the weather warms up it is great to see Junior students bringing their sport equipment to play with at recess and lunch.
If your students are bringing any sports equipment to school please make sure it is clearly named so that it is not mistaken for school property.
Thank you!
