2020 Before & After School Care

Thank you to the many kinder and primary parents who participated in the recent Before & After School Care Survey. The information and comments provided have been extremely useful in determining the needs of our community.

After negotiations with Camp Australia we are happy to advise that the following changes will be taking place from Term 1, 2020:-

EXTENDED HOURS: Opening hours have been extended with morning sessions commencing at 6.30am and evening sessions ending at 6.30pm

PRICE ADJUSTMENT: There will be a small decrease to both the morning and afternoon daily session fee.

Please remember that the advertising price is the full fee. Most families will be eligible for a government subsidy which will reduce the out of pocket cost.

Camp Australia will provide the new fee structure shortly.

HOLIDAY PROGRAM: Due to popular demand, a holiday program will be provided at BHCS from the end of Term 1, 2020 which will be available for all term breaks.

STUDENT FREE DAYS: The program will now also run on all student free days such as curriculum and report writing days.

RELOCATION:  The program will be relocated to the BHCS gym which is equipped with toilets, kitchen and plenty of play space both on the gym floor and the upstairs foyer area.

Thank you once again for your invaluable feedback. We are glad to be able to provide an OSHC (Out of School Hours Care) Program at BHCS and hope that the changes make the program more accessible and convenient to our families.

We would like to remind all school families of the following:

  • Students must embark and disembark at their allocated stop and should not get off at a different stop without their gaurdians having made prior arrangements.
  • Travel on an alternative buses for social engagements is not permissible.

Should families experience an emergency they are encouraged to email buses@bhcs.vic.edu.au.  In cases of emergency the School will work with families to find the most suitable arrangement.

BHCS Community Care - Christmas Edition

For our next cook up, we're having a Christmas theme and we need your help.  We'd love your donations of the following ( see below) non-perishable items- these will be included in Christmas hampers along with some homemade goodies for families this Christmas!

Here is some feedback from a family impacted by your giving!

I wanted to pass on our sincere thanks to the BHCS community care team and the larger BHCS community for all their donations of food and meals. Our daughter has been hospitalised multiple times over the last 6 months with a rare lung condition.

The delivery of meals and snacks each time has really taken the pressure off our family and allowed us to focus on our daughter and other children.

We do not know how we would survive without all the help we receive from the BHCS community. We feel very blessed to be part of such a beautiful community.  Many thanks -The Sadlers
