Student Wellbeing

LGBTI/Inclusive Youth Ambassador Program:

The LGBTI/Inclusive Youth Ambassador Program is continuing to be a successful program with a small group of students participating in the Building Bridges excursion with Lyndale Secondary College. With support from the Greater Dandenong Youth and Family Services, our students have started planning projects to implement that will create a more welcoming and inclusive school environment. These include LGBTI posters around the school promoting inclusion and the use of rainbow stickers to identify LGBTI friendly books. Thank you to the library staff for their assistance with this task.

AOD Forum:

Year 10 and 11 leaders were selected to participate in an Alcohol and Other Drug Forum facilitated by the Greater Dandenong Youth and Family Services on Wednesday 19th September. This forum focused on providing information to students about drugs and alcohol and our leaders will be involved in supporting our Party Safe Day incursion with our Year 9 students later this term.

The Student Wellbeing team will be supporting key events this term such as:

  • Year 9 Party Safe Day incursion
  • Year 9 Community Leadership Day (City Tour)
  • Year 8 Positive Relationships Day
  • Grade 6 - Year 7 Transition
  • Year 11 Girls Bootcamp
