The Huntingtower Street Art Mural Project

A fabulous and creative effort!

The Huntingtower Street Art Mural Project at the Mt Waverley IGA consists of 2 bus stops (painted by Year 9 students 2016 - 17). A Street Artist was also commissioned to complete the main wall with the help of a $30,000 grant from the Department of Justice.

Grateful thanks are extended to the Monash City Council, especially April Williams, who led

the committee and who supported our Head of Art, Marion Power, throughout the project.

Ten artist applicants  created ideas that considered the brief arrived at by community consultation. These artists presented their concept designs to the committee - the Street Artist TWOONE was finally chosen to complete the large wall.
