Music Lessons Update

With the new system commencing at the beginning of this term, the Music Department has taken over the running of the music timetables. This means that music lesson times can be centralised to enable other staff to find information on where students are at any given time. It also allows for the different needs and requirements of junior and senior students and staff and provides a greater duty of care.

Clarification on the process for lessons to be credited

Each term lessons paid for and not received will be ‘rolled over’ to the following term. Any lessons owed will be credited at the end of Term 4. For example: a student is charged for 10 lessons; receives 8 in Term 2. In Term 3 the account will show a deduction of 2 lessons from the number of weeks in that term.

From Term 3 , parents will receive a timetable of music lessons for the full term. Please ensure that any changes to music lesson times are organised through Vivienne Perry in the Music Office, not between the music teacher and parent.

Percussion Lessons and Ensemble

We have had a wonderful response from those who attended the percussion demonstration last term and look forward to lessons commencing in the coming weeks and the creation of the Huntingtower Percussion Ensemble. Mr Steve Falk is very keen to work with students and teach the many skills required by a percussionist.
