2020 Diocesan Swimming Carnival
The following swimmers qualified and will represent St Edward’s at the Armidale Diocesan Carnival in Moree on Friday 28th February, 2020: Grace Goodfellow, Lily Androutsos, Olivia Murray, Lara Cartan, Millah Smith, Sienna Pepperell, Jessica Shiels, Mia Goodfellow, Maye Hatton, Ava Mazarto, Lachlan Murray, Henry Rumsby, Sam Studte, Fergus McGilchrist, Jack Whale, Harry Hudson, Rory MacRae, Cooper Jones, Henry Whale, Riley Jones, Darcy Madgwick and Mitchell Williams.
The following children qualified for the Relay Teams to compete at the Diocesan Swimming Carnival;
Senior Girls: Lily Androutsos, Grace Goodfellow, Lara Cartan and Millah Smith. Reserve: Olivia Murray
Senior Boys: Jack Whale, Lachlan Murray, Mitchell Williams and Fergus McGilchrist. Reserve: Riley Jones
Junior Boys: Henry Rumsby, Rory McRae, Cooper Jones and Henry Whale (No Reserve)
Junior Girls: Unfortunately only 3 Junior Girls qualified for this event so therefore not enough for a full relay team.
We wish all these swimmers the best of luck!
Basketball
Basketball starts today with St Edward's having six maybe seven teams playing, depending on senior girl numbers. The teams are listed below. If you have any inquiries regarding these teams please email basketballsteds@gmail.com or alternatively Mrs Gippel (nmcculloch@arm.catholic.edu.au)
Trials will commence this afternoon, with the competition beginning from the 4th March.
St Ed's Hurricanes will start next Thursday 27th February.

St Ed's Netball 2020
Registration for St Edward’s Netball Saturday competition is now open.
Netball starts on Saturday 2nd May 2020.
Registrations have to be fully completed and paid for online by Friday 13th March 2020.
Active Kids Vouchers are accepted!
For all registrations, it is the age you are turning/ have turned in 2020.
Junior Registration, 11 years and over
NetSetGo Registration 10 and Under in 2020.

A little about how netball runs.......
Net, Set, Go! (NSG) is three tiered. Players will receive a Net,Set,Go pack which usually arrives before the end of the netball season.
Saturday - Net - Activity/Skills Activity Dates: 02-May to 29-August. Start Time: 12:00PM. Net (Skills Only) - 5-6 year olds - teaches fundamental motor skills through dance, music and games
Saturday - Set - Skills/Competition Activity Dates: 02-May to 29-August. Start Time: 12:00PM. Set (Skills and Modified Competition) - 7-8 year olds - focuses on refining fundamental motor skills and introducing modified netball matches
Saturday - GO – Competition Activity Dates: 02-May to 29-August. Start Time: 12:00PM. Go (Modified Competition) - 9-10 year olds - focuses on developing netball specific skills through modified netball matches
Juniors - 11-17 Yrs. Activity Dates: 02-May – Grand Finals 19-September. Start Time: 1:00PM They play by the ‘normal’ netball rules with the correct netball ring height. This is a competitive competition with finals netball being played and trophies awarded.
Uniform: Players wear the St Edward’s netball uniform, which can be purchased from the Primary School canteen or on the QKR! app for a cost of $75.00. St Ed’s netball visors are also available.
This year, all registrations need to be completed and paid for online.

Students who were interested in playing Oztag were provided a permission note on Friday 31st January, 2020. Spare notes are kept at the Infants and Primary Office or can be emailed if you contact nmcculloch@arm.catholic.edu.au
All students who returned their notes should now have received an email prompting them to register their child online. Teams will be continually updated as permission notes are received via this online note.
Mr Sam Casson and Miss Arnie Purdy will be the teacher representatives for the Oztag Summer competition.

Students who were interested in playing Touch Football were provided a permission note on Friday 31st January, 2020. Spare notes are kept at the Infants and Primary Office or can be emailed if you contact nmcculloch@arm.catholic.edu.au
