A message from our School Council President

A message from Victoria

Hi Everyone,

It’s great to be back as School Council President for another year. I look forward to working with the school leadership team and my fellow council members in helping to continue to shape our school for our current and future students.

We held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and our normal council meeting on Thursday 28th March. The leadership team (Lisa, Rochelle and David) presented the Annual Report for 2018, reviewing our benchmark other Victorian Primary Schools. We are tracking so well and are in line, if not advancing in front of the median. The AGM enabled key positions on school council to be filled (the outcome which was recently communicated by Lisa).

Sub-committee representatives were also self-elected during this meeting, so there is a fair representation in the areas of Buildings & Grounds, Parents & Friends and Finance. Meetings were set too for the forthcoming year and will be held on the 3rd Thursday of each month going forwards.

During the meeting, I submitted a proposal for a School Fete for 2020. I am delighted to announce that this proposal was approved! I am now currently working with Hobsons Bay City Council and School Council collectively to agree on a date. More details will be released in the coming months. I will send out another update once council have met in May.

If you have anything you wish to contact me about (please note the role School Council doesn’t address the operational aspect of the school), please email me on:  Reynolds.Victoria.V2@edumail.vic.gov.au

Until May,

Victoria Reynolds
