This week, our community along with many others, has been impacted by a severe weather event.  Our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected by the floods.

We encourage our families to let us know if their children have lost their school necessities in the flood (e.g. uniforms, school bag, lunch boxes etc.) and/or if it’s been a challenging time. Together with our P&C, we would like to do what we can to help.  Our P&C have rallied quickly to support our community at this time and I thank them for that!

Our teachers are providing extra nurturing to our students who have had flooding in their homes and as always they are supporting children with warmth and care.

A big thank you to our cleaning team, facilities officer, business manager and deputy principals for their work to ensure that our school was ready to reopen at the earliest possible time!  We are happiest when our school is a place full of children learning.

Tally Unity Day

On Friday 18 March, we will hold our annual Tally Unity Day which marks Harmony Day and the National Day Against Bullying and Violence.  We are united in our respect and appreciation of diversity and commitment to kindness.

This is an inclusive event that allows all students to participate in the free activities during the school day.  Students may wear an item of orange with their school uniform and school shoes to reflect their stand against bullying and for kindness and respect.  Orange socks, hair accessories or t-shirts are great options and need to be sun safe (e.g. no strapless and midriff shirts).

COVID Restrictions Easing

The easing of COVID restrictions will take effect in our school from Monday next week (the change occurs from 6pm 4 March), in line with the current directions.  Details will be provided to parents and caregivers on Class Dojo.

We continue to request that all visitors on the school grounds maintain physical distancing.

Thank you to our school community for your support and flexibility while we have implemented the necessary safety related changes.
